I can’t tell you what a relief it is to know I will never have to search the yellow pages, or take pot luck from the mail shots again, now I have found this excellent firm. Alan Lancaster himself is so friendly and helpful, and I noticed I was the one suggesting more things which needed doing rather than him pointing them out to add to the bill. All the work was beautifully and speedily done, and Peter was like having a friend in the house. You could pay twice as much as not get such a good service, – indeed my next-door neighbour has grabbed him on my recommendation – and I look forward to dealing with Alan again – and in a long life, it is the first time I have said that about a decorator!.

I employed Alan Lancaster Ltd last year to decorate the exterior of my house. They were reliable and the quality of work was great. I have since called them back to refurbish the interior.

We are very pleased with the newly warmed house and were extremely pleased with the skill and industry of Peter and John, who were working in difficult circumstances in the cold and cluttered garden room. If you send me a final invoice for all the works I will send you a cheque at once.
I still have a residual wish-list regarding the side-steps which are practically unusable now, and eventually I shall definitely want my study windows done, but perhaps we can discuss these later in the spring.

I asked Best Decorators to quote for both exterior and interior work for my flat in Crouch End. Most of the work was straightforward decorating, whereby some of the wood required a lot of preparation because it was in poor condition. The main piece of work was the complete bathroom refurbishment, including the stripping out of the old bathroom, fitting the new bathroom, and floor and wall tiling. The workmen kept the disruption to a minimum, and all the work was of a consistently high standard. Inevitably I had to ask them to do some extra jobs along the way, but nothing was too much trouble for them.
